Santa Claus Featured in National Publication

SPENCER COUNTY, IN— A article appearing in an early December issue of American Profile magazine has generated a flurry of calls to the Spencer County Visitors Bureau.

The Spencer County Visitors Bureau staff has been busy answering calls and emails from all over the nation. The Town of Santa Claus was featured in the Hometown Spotlight of American Profile magazine last week. The magazine has a circulation of over 5 million copies distributed across the US. “We’ve been receiving calls and email inquiries from New York to New Mexico,” says Vevah Harris, the Visitors Bureau Director. “People who read the article are asking for more information about Christmas events and other holiday activities throughout Spencer County.”

The American Profile article was written by Jackie Sheckler Finch, a Bloomington travel writer who attended a press trip hosted in the spring by the Spencer County Visitors Bureau.
